2nd Class Air Conditioned Seats on Train #43
Train #43 is a Sprinter Train with a single seat type:
This type of seat is similar to a seat on a aeroplane, just with more leg room. Included in the price is an airline style breakfast and lunch served on a tray. The chairs recline and there is a tray on the back of the chair in front. You cannot open the windows in any of the train carriages on Train #43 because this is an all air-conditioned train. The chairs are fairly comfortable, but less so as the journey goes on. Get up frequently and walk up and down the aisles as 8 hours 40 minutes is too long to sit still. Bring a book or watch a film or you will be bored. There is not much to see from the train window for much of this journey. After leaving Bangkok much of the route passes through forested areas and there is nothing to see except trees and a few towns.
